About
An independent read on the corridor
SilQRoute Times reports the capital, policy and infrastructure story running between the Gulf, South Asia and Southeast Asia. It is written for operators, allocators and the people who have to act on the news rather than simply follow it.
Who publishes it
The publication is owned and edited by Nisha Varman, based in Doha. She writes the editions, commissions the research and is accountable for every published claim. Her professional profile is at thenishavarman.com. There is no outside owner, and no investor holds editorial influence.
What we publish
Two formats. Newsletter editions, which are dated dispatches on what moved in the corridor, archived in full on this site. And editorials, which are longer explainers and reference pieces on subjects such as the IMEC corridor, sovereign capital, family office structuring and Gulf venture.
Every piece carries a publication date, a named author and, where the argument rests on figures, a visible list of the sources those figures come from.
How we report
Claims are carried only when they can be attributed to a named source, and material claims carry two independent sources. We name institutions rather than gesture at unnamed insiders. Where a figure is an estimate, we say so and say whose estimate it is.
Corrections are made openly. If you find an error, write to us and we will amend the page and note the change rather than quietly edit it away.
Advertising and brand safety
Advertising keeps the publication free to read. Ads are served through Google AdSense and are clearly separated from editorial content. Sponsored and partner work is labelled at the top of the piece. Advertisers see copy only when it carries their own brand, and never review editorial before publication.
We maintain a brand safe environment: no adult, gambling, weapons, hate, shock or misinformation content, no auto playing audio ads, no interstitials over article text, and no more than a light ad load per page. Our content is original, long form and human written, which is the profile premium advertisers buy against.
